Ending early

I slipped again and bought an Isabel Marant Etoile t-shirt in the Net-A-Porter sale and then bought a jacket in the Zara sale today. I have therefore decided to end the challenge early as I clearly am incapable of restraining myself any longer and also I have unintentionally lost weight (although I am on mission gain it back at the moment) so some of my clothes are currently too big for me. It feels strange being on a mission to put weight on when everyone else is trying to lose the extra lbs they gained over Christmas.
Throughout the duration of my clothes buying ban, I feel I have learned to appreciate my wardrobe more and have got extra mileage out of some outfits that I never thought I would before. I have also established a new rule for myself - if I can't get at least 3 different outfits out of an item it probably doesn't belong in my wardrobe. I think this is probably quite a good rule to have as  it means I will be less likely to make impulse purchases in future of things I end up wearing once or even not at all in the case of a H&M dress I bought in 2011 that I still haven't worn as it's really not my style at all.
I'm quite into the idea of maintaining a blog of different looks I have worn though especially on my days off when I am not living in black so watch this space for a potential blog change!

Today I'm wearing a Breton stripe Jack Wills long sleeve dress with black tights for lounging round the house.
